Meet Ernie!
Ernie came to us when he showed up at a local farm. The farmer noticed he wasn’t well so we were called. It appeared Ernie had been living rough for some time and was quite run down. With some good food and some meds on board, he bounced back and is feeling fine!
Ernie is a bit of a work in progress: really, he is semi-feral and house cat living is not his first choice. Yet. Ernie is a “hands off” kinda guy. He’s got a good appetite, and he uses the litter box faithfully. He’s not overly fond of other cats and can be aggressive in an enclosed area with others. Ernie would do best as a single shop/barn cat: earning his keep (no doubt he’s an amazing hunter), but enjoying a few human benefits like regular meals, a warm place to sleep, and a few pets when he’s in the mood!
